Some
materials react sensitively to high
temperature and pressure and therefore
it is not possible to cut these
materials by thermal processing (i.e.
Laser). Water Jet cutting offers
optimal solutions primarily because of
the cold cut process and secondly
because there are two different
cutting methods.
With the Clear-Water Jet Cutting
Technology you can cut softer
materials, .i.e. wood, foam
substances, etc. With the
Abrasive-Cutting Technology (the water
jet is mixed with a granulated
abrasive) harder materials like
metals, glass and plastics can be cut.
The cold cut process produces a
burr-free intersection with a
straight, vertical secant, and, hence,
a small kerf (water jet 0.004 inches
to 0.012 inches and abrasive 0.012
inches to 0.512 inches) which allows
for a low loss of materials. The Water
Jet Cutting System can be used in all
kinds of industries, such as
aeronautics, engineering, glass
industry, wood working, electronics,
and food industry.
The Y-axis is supported on the X-axis.
With this rugged construction, the
front-side and both face-sides of the
machine are open - a great advantage
for loading and unloading of
workpieces.
The height sensor regulates the
distance between abrasive-tube and the
material surface. The height sensor
protects also against collision.
The second cutting head is
mechanically connected to the first
cutting head. It makes the same
movements as the first. The distance
to the first cutting head is variable.
The conveyor system transports the
waste abrasive material and the cut
material out of the water tank into
another tank outside. |
